Burfoot Roan — Informal Decorative Dahlia
The Burfoot Roan is one of the most uniquely beautiful dahlias you can grow. Its gently cupped blooms are layered with thick, sturdy petals in a one-of-a-kind “strawberry-vibe” palette — strawberry-flecked, softly pinstriped petals resting against a glowing violet reverse that catches the light from every angle. As the season progresses into mid-to-late bloom, the flowers develop an additional creamy-tan fade that adds remarkable vintage depth and character to each stem.
- Bloom Form: Informal Decorative — gently cupped with thick, sturdy petals
- Bloom Size: 5 inches across
- Color: Strawberry-flecked pinstriped petals with glowing violet reverse; creamy-tan vintage fade in mid-to-late season
- Plant Height: 4 to 5 feet — grows into a tidy, sturdy bush structure
With its extraordinary color complexity and season-long evolution, Burfoot Roan is an exceptional choice for collectors, premium mixed bouquets, and any floral design where rare, vintage-inspired beauty is the goal.
